Why we created the MusallahMat
I created MusallahMat™ for two people I love more than anything—my parents.
As they grew older, sujood became painful. I watched them push through the discomfort, never asking for help, and it broke my heart. Prayer should bring peace, not strain.
So I set out to design a mat that would honor their devotion—soft, supportive, stable, and worthy of the sacred moments they spend with Allah.
That’s how MusallahMat™ was born.
From the stillness of Fajr to the quiet of Isha, it cushions the knees, eases pressure, and brings comfort back into every movement. Orthopedic foam, a gentle velvet top, and a steady base come together to make prayer beautifully easy again.
I made it for my parents—but it’s for every mother, father, and loved one who deserves to pray without pain.
And for anyone returning to prayer with a hopeful heart.

FAQ
Is it allowed to use a padded or memory-foam mat for prayer?
Yes — it is allowed to use the MusallahMat. Scholars allow praying on soft surfaces as long as your forehead can make firm contact during sujood. The MusallahMat mat is designed to support your knees while still keeping your sujood stable, so it does not invalidate your prayer. You can use it with full confidence and peace of mind.
Who is MusallahMat™ designed for?
Anyone with knee pain, joint pain, or discomfort on hard floors. It’s especially helpful for parents, elders, and anyone who wants a softer prayer experience.
What are the materials and size of the mat?
The mat has a soft velvet top, memory foam inside, and a non-slip bottom. Its size is 110 × 70 cm (about 43 × 27 inches), giving you plenty of space to pray comfortably.
How do I clean the mat?
The cover can be removed and washed easily. Just unzip, wash, and put it back on.
Can I use this instead of a regular prayer rug?
Yes. Many people use it as their main prayer mat because it is more comfortable and supportive than a thin mat.
